  16.  Currently, only a Beta version of the Acrobat Reader is available. We are 
  17.  unfortunately not able to enclose this version with the StarOffice program CD. 
  18.  However, you can obtain a free download of  the Beta version from the 
  19.  following Internet address: "http://www.adobe.com". 
  20.  StarOfffice Online Help and User's Guide

  22.  At the time of delivery of this program version, the online help and 
  23.  electronic handbook are currently still being translated. Therefore, we are 
  24.  unfortunately not yet able to deliver the complete  StarOffice documentation. 
  25.  However, the enclosed print documentation provides a basic introduction, 
  26.  enabling you to begin working right away with StarOffice. Furthermore, an 
  27.  expanded version of the print documentation is included on  the current CD as 
  28.  well. Additionally, you can download continually updated information at no 
  29.  cost from our Web Server in Internet.

  39.  Available Help Functions

  41.  Presently, StarOffice provides two complete context-sensitive help functions 
  42.  for your use. The "ACTIVE HELP" and "TIP" functions give you exactly the 
  43.  information you need depending on the particular  circumstances relevant to 
  44.  where you are in the program. and what tasks are being carried out. To take 
  45.  advantage of the help functions, engage the respective functions by clicking 
  46.  the corresponding commands in the HELP menu.

  49.  The "Tip" Help Function 
  50.  
  51.  If you want to receive specific information regarding the function of a symbol 
  52.  or a dialog, simply rest your mouse pointer on the respective symbol or menu 
  53.  entry, press the right mouse button, and  a brief help text will be displayed. 
  54.  Naturally, this function is available for many dialog areas as well.

  57.  The "Active Help" Function 
  58.  
  59.  Additionally, the Active Help provides short and precise help texts, giving an 
  60.  explanation of the respective function. If this function is off , simply press 
  61.  the right mouse button in your current  position to see the corresponding 
  62.  explanation. If you have switched the Active Help function on in the Help 
  63.  menu, a help text appears when you rest your mouse pointer on the respective 
  64.  symbol or dialog element.

  67.  The Electronic User's Guide

  69.  StarOffice User's Guides in electronic form have been included on this program 
  70.  CD for your immediate use. The guides are saved in Adobe Acrobat PDF format 
  71.  and can be viewed and printed  under Windows  operating systems with the help 
  72.  of the enclosed Adobe Acrobat Reader, found on your program CD. User's guides 
  73.  loaded from the StarDivision Web Server can be read and printed with the aid 
  74.  of this Adobe Acrobat Reader as well.

  77.  Installing the Adobe Acrobat Reader under Windows 3.x and Windows 95 
  78.  
  79.  To begin installation of the Acrobat Reader, start the installation program 
  80.  "ACROREAD.EXE" in the "ACROBAT" directory of the program CD. An installation 
  81.  dialog will appear, asking you to confirm  the installation directory or enter 
  82.  another directory of your choice. After setting the directory, confirm the 
  83.  dialog with [OK]. Confirm the next dialog, as well, with [OK] and enter your 
  84.  name in the "Personalize" dialog. Finally,  close the entire dialog with [OK] 
  85.  and the Adobe Acrobat Reader installation will begin. After the installation, 
  86.  you must shut down your computer and restart. Upon restarting, a new program 
  87.  folder named "Adobe Acrobat 2.0" will be  displayed.

  90.  How to use the Electronic User's Guide

  92.  After restarting your computer, you will be now able to launch the Acrobat 
  93.  Reader. Use the "File/Open" dialog to open the respective handbook. This file
